New Pill Organiser

I need to take a certain amount of pills every day. A few are critical, most are not. I also have a huge problem remembering whether I’ve taken any painkillers (they don’t work so well thanks to my high levels of pain, and a crappy copy of the CYP2D gene, and the more hurty I am, the less likely I am to remember things.) So for the last decadeish, I’ve been using pill organisers.

I despise refilling my pill boxes. It’s a hated Saturday morning task, and I softened the annoyance somewhat by switching to using two pillboxes, and having to refill only every fortnight. After a while even that was just so ugh that I looked for ways to alleviate it. (I have no idea why I hate this so much, and even though I take great care, I still manage to fuck it up regularly.)

After using the "Colorful 7 Day Pill Box 4 Times A Day 28 Compartments Pill Organiser Weekly Medicine Storage Box for Medication Remedies Tablets" type of pill box (leftmost photo) that I got from a now defunct shopfront on AliExpress in 2017, I recently decided to upgrade.

I got the verbosely named "Monthly Pill Organizer 4 Times A Day, Daily Pills Box Organizer, One Month Medicine Pill Case, Pills Holder To Hold Supplement" (rightmost photo) from the WePizazz store on AliExpress, and there are tons of other versions available from one of the hundreds of store selling the same kind of stuff (middle photo). However, Wepizazz shipped it so fast! From ordering until it was in my grabby beans only took 10 days. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for the pneumatic connectors I ordered days before from a different store.

Right now, I'm very happy with it. On Saturday I'll do a proper refill of it, but so far the compartments are much larger than my previous organiser, have plenty of room for tablets, and they are easy to open and close. Price wise it's on par with what I'd pay for something like this in Norway, perhaps a little cheaper, but I couldn't find anything similar available on the Norwegian market. I have no idea whether the claims that the writing will not rub off are true or not, but I hope so. My old pill boxes are a lot less readable after a decade of use.

TL;DR: V happy with new LORGE pill box.
